Not Ashamed: When you hear that, what thoughts are provoked? Maybe sharing the gospel, not being afraid to speak up, etc. Whatever answer you come to, it should always point back to being bold in Christ.

Fragile Questions

When a young person seeks the guidance of an adult, the question on their mind might have been festering for some time. They might struggle in the asking, and, in the process, try the patience of the adult. These are “fragile questions” that often take a great deal of courage to ask. These youngsters, and their questions, deserve our sensitivity, patience and wisdom.

Some parents take their children off ADD meds in the summer, and, in fact, that used to be the standard recommendation. Recently, though, some experts have begun to dispute this idea. And some ADHD experts are looking even more carefully at the importance of maintaining consistent medication use for promoting better long-term outcomes in individuals with ADHD. So what’s a parent to do?

The Problem With Labeling Children

The way we label children who do poorly in school has taken a dramatic turn, in many ways for the better, in some ways for the worse. In yesteryear, kids who didn’t perform well in school would have been labeled as no-good, lazy, defiant, incorrigible, or just plain stupid. They would be disciplined by being shamed, blamed, hit, scolded, punished, ridiculed or simply written off as hopeless cases. Progress has been made. For the most part, we have eliminated such verbal and physical abuse. But we still must question the progress that’s been made when we replace the old labels with psychiatric diagnoses that refer to kids as ‘disordered’ or ‘disabled.’

Cheap Kids Bedroom Sets Can Turn Any Room Into a Bedroom

Any bedroom can have a bed and a dresser but not all of them are going to have sets of these. Some people cannot tell that they are not sets but the person that owns them knows. They want to have cheap kids bedroom sets that actually go together.
